Shopify fashion stores

Turn the product photos in your fashion store into more video content.

FashionUGC does not need access to your Shopify store to create a video. Download or use the clothing product images you already own, upload them to FashionUGC, then add the finished output to the parts of your content workflow where it fits. There is no app, no catalog import and no one-click sync.

Your Shopify store already contains useful source material

Most clothing products on Shopify already have a hero image, a few alternate views, sometimes a detail crop or a model shot. Those files were made for the product page. They are also valid FashionUGC inputs if they are sharp and the garment is clear.

You do not give FashionUGC your admin login. You take the images out, generate a video, and decide whether the file goes back into Shopify or into social instead.

Product page image, then FashionUGC, then video

  1. Open the product in Shopify and export or download the clothing photos you own.
  2. Upload one to six images of that same garment to FashionUGC.
  3. Choose creative, duration and frame.
  4. Generate the video and watch it against the stills.
  5. If you keep it, add the MP4 in Shopify product Media, or use it in a social or ads workflow.

Shopify Help currently lets merchants upload product video as .mp4, .mov or .webm (up to 10 minutes and 1 GB) or embed a YouTube or Vimeo URL, if the theme supports video. Use a standard YouTube watch URL if you embed, not a Shorts-only link. Check Shopify's own media documentation for the current limits before you rely on a specific theme.

Videos for individual SKUs

Generate one product at a time. A dress and a jacket in the same upload is a contradiction, not a collection video.

New arrivals

When the photos are already on the product, the missing asset is often motion for the week the piece goes live.

Social content around store inventory

The same stills can feed a Reel or Short after you generate a 9:16 file. FashionUGC does not post it.

Product launches and existing catalog

Hero SKUs may have campaign film. The rest of the catalog usually does not. FashionUGC is for those quieter products, if the photos are good enough.

What FashionUGC does not do

If you need an app that writes media back into products automatically, that is a different category of tool. This page will not pretend FashionUGC is one.

Store photography reused

A catalog still a merchant could already have live.

This bronze evening gown is a studio product photograph. FashionUGC generated a 10-second 9:16 video from that plate. It was not pulled from a store via an API.

How to use FashionUGC alongside a Shopify store

Keep Shopify as the system of record for products. Keep FashionUGC as a place you generate a video when a SKU needs motion. Put approved files back into product Media, a campaign landing page, or a social calendar. If the video is for the listing gallery, the listing video page is more specific. The wider store story is on ecommerce.

Questions from Shopify merchants

Does FashionUGC integrate directly with Shopify?

No. There is no Shopify app, no catalog sync and no automatic publish. You upload clothing images yourself, then add the finished video to Shopify if you want it there.

Can I use Shopify product photos in FashionUGC?

Yes, if you own those images or have the right to use them. Download the files from your product media, or use the originals from the shoot, then upload them to FashionUGC.

Can I create video for an individual clothing product?

Yes. Each generation is one garment. Use the photos for that SKU only.

What image should I upload?

The same clear listing photo you already trust on the product page. Add extra angles of that garment when the back, print or construction matters.

Which format should I use for social media?

9:16 is the usual short-form frame. Generate a different frame if the placement is square or landscape.

Can I add the generated video to my Shopify product page?

You can upload an MP4 in the product Media section if your theme supports video. Shopify Help currently allows product videos up to 10 minutes and 1 GB as .mp4, .mov or .webm, or a YouTube or Vimeo URL. FashionUGC does not perform that upload.
