Instagram Reels

Turn clothing product photos into motion for Instagram Reels.

FashionUGC generates short UGC-style clothing videos from product photos. A 9:16 file can be used in a Reels workflow the same way any other vertical clip can. FashionUGC is not affiliated with Meta or Instagram and does not publish for you.

Product photography was made to be looked at. Reels need movement.

A PDP image can sit still and still do its job. A Reel that never moves feels like a leftover still with music. FashionUGC is for the gap between those: you already have the garment photo, and you need a few seconds of product-led motion to sit in the same grid as everything else.

Source to vertical

An on-body clothing photo, then a Reel-shaped file.

This floral midi dress started as an on-body product photo. FashionUGC generated a 10-second 9:16 video from that still.

Building product-led Reel creative

Treat the generated file as the product shot in motion. The dress, the print, the length should still be the reason someone pauses. Overlay, sticker and audio choices happen later in Instagram, not inside FashionUGC.

If the still is on-body, the generation has a worn starting point. If the still is a mannequin or studio plate, the clip will still be product-led, just less "street." Both are valid Reels material if the garment reads.

Choose the duration and frame

For Reels, 9:16 is the frame that matches the player. FashionUGC also supports 16:9, 1:1, 2:3 and 3:2 when you need a different crop for another placement. Duration options are 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 seconds, limited by creative: Piveth stays at 10 seconds, Astra can go longer.

New arrivals

The photos are already in the catalog. A short Reel can introduce the piece without waiting for a creator to film it. Keep the caption as specific as the still: fabric, length, what is new.

Product storytelling

A generated clip can hold one idea: the print, the drape, the evening fabric. It will not carry a long brand essay. If the story needs a person talking, film that separately.

Collection content

Use FashionUGC on the SKUs that only have packshots. Save the campaign film for the heroes. The grid can hold both without pretending they came from the same set.

Reusing existing product assets

The point is reuse. You are not building a new shoot around the Reel. You are asking whether last month's ecom stills can move for a week of posts.

FashionUGC as one piece of the content mix

A healthy Reels calendar still has creator footage, photography, brand campaigns and, when you are lucky, customer content. FashionUGC sits beside those. It does not ask you to retire them.

That mix is also why we do not sell this as "your Instagram, solved." It is a way to get another product-led file from photos you already approved for the store.

If the same clip also has to live on TikTok or YouTube Shorts, generate the frame once and keep the captions separate. The aspect ratio guide lists every frame FashionUGC actually offers.

Questions about Reels use

Can FashionUGC make vertical video for Reels?

Yes. 9:16 is supported. The published examples are vertical clothing videos generated from product photos.

Does FashionUGC post to Instagram?

No. There is no Instagram or Meta connection. You generate a video, review it, then upload it yourself if you want it on Reels.

What durations can I generate?

10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 seconds, depending on the creative. Piveth is 10 seconds. Astra can use the longer lengths.

Is this a replacement for creator Reels?

No. Creator footage, customer content and campaign film still belong in a Reels mix. FashionUGC adds product-led motion from photography you already have.

Generate a 9:16 clothing video, review it, then upload it in Instagram if it earns a place next to the rest of your Reels.
