Product photo to video

Turn a product photo into a fashion video.

You do not need to begin with footage. With FashionUGC, the starting point can be a product photo you already have. The current product is clothing. Upload the garment, choose a creative, duration and frame, then generate a short UGC-style video and review it.

What happens between the photo and the final video?

FashionUGC reads the clothing in your upload, builds an internal product reference from it, then generates a short video in the duration and frame you chose. You do not edit a timeline. You also do not get a tour of the model architecture. The useful part is the sequence you actually run.

Keep the examples on this page in fashion. The tool is not a general generator for furniture, gadgets or food. Clothing is live. Beauty and Accessories are not.

Step 1: Start with a useful source image

Pick a still where the garment is the subject. Sharpness matters more than styling mood. If the photo is dark, cropped through the hem, or covered by a hanger pile, fix that before you generate. One good plate beats four mediocre ones. The product photo guide goes angle by angle. If the still is an overhead shot, start with flat lay to fashion video.

Step 2: Add other angles when they matter

Add a second image when the first one hides something a shopper would ask about. Back design, side volume, a logo, a print that wraps. Stay on the same garment. Conflicting references (different colors, different products) make the output less reliable.

Step 3: Choose the creative direction

The create form currently offers Piveth and Astra. They are different generation paths. Piveth is a 10-second clip in 9:16 or 16:9. Astra can run longer and can use more frames. Choose based on the length and shape you need, not on a marketing name.

Step 4: Choose duration and frame

Duration options in the interface are 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 seconds. Frames are 9:16, 16:9, 1:1, 2:3 and 3:2, limited by the creative. Match the frame to the placement you already have in mind. Do not generate 16:9 if you only publish vertical stories.

Step 5: Generate and review the result

Create the job and wait for the file. Then watch it as a buyer would. Check the garment, the print, the crop. If the clip drifted, change the references or settings and run again. FashionUGC does not publish the video for you.

Before and after

On-body still, then a 10-second vertical video.

This published example starts from an on-body photo of a floral midi dress. The output is a 10-second 9:16 FashionUGC video.

Product-photo checklist

Use this as a quick pass before you upload. It is about the still, not about writing a better prompt.

What to avoid

Bad inputs do not become good fashion video. They become a faster way to get a clip you will not use.

What can the resulting video be used for?

Teams use these files as product-led social posts, launch extras, paid creative tests and short clips next to stills. FashionUGC does not connect to a store, a social scheduler or an ads manager. You download or save the output and put it where your workflow already lives.

If you are mapping this to a store calendar, read the ecommerce use case. If you want garment-angle advice, use the clothing video generator.

Questions about the transformation

What kind of source photo works best?

A sharp, well-lit image where the garment is easy to see. Avoid heavy filters, blur and frames that contain unrelated products.

Can a flat-lay image be used?

Yes. A flat lay can be a starting photo. It shows print and shape from above. It gives less information about how the piece hangs, so an on-body or mannequin view helps when drape matters.

How long can the generated video be?

The generator offers 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 seconds. Piveth is 10 seconds. Astra can use the longer options.

Which aspect ratios are available?

9:16, 16:9, 1:1, 2:3 and 3:2. Piveth currently supports 9:16 and 16:9. Astra supports the full set.
